YIFY (ee-fee) is a cinematic-electronic singer-songwriter and sound healer. Her music is a unique blend of cinematic electronica, songwriting, and healing frequencies. As Vents Magazine describes, “YIFY creates a raw and lush soundscape that feels like collaboration between an electronic film composer, singer-songwriter, and healer.”
Born in the metropolis of Beijing, YIFY began on the violin at the age of 5. When an injury to the spine prevented her from a career in violin performance, she dove into composition and songwriting, and fell deeply in love with music.
After years of craft honing and performing as a singer songwriter, YIFY began a sound healing project (Berlin Music & Sound Healing) in 2021, mixing music with sound healing frequencies. She hosts concerts on full moons that blend a unique mix of soothing sound healing instruments with cine-electronic singer-songwriter material. Emotional and spiritual themes are weaved together into heartfelt songs and meditations, leaving listeners more connected to their heart and spirit.
Her mission is to create live soundscapes for listeners to unplug and recharge, and connect more deeply to themselves. She has released 3 EPs to date, and is gearing up release a body of instrumental works in 2024 that blends trance electronics with singing bowl frequencies, and sparse sung words throughout.
